RoPE POI

Guide · Performance

You spin. The light draws.

RoPE POI are digital light-up poi with a glowing rope. As you spin, they draw pixel patterns, and in your hand they behave like semi-static poi. You control them with the button or the app, and several props can play together.

  • Digital light rope

Every LED in the rope is controlled individually, so movement creates pixel patterns.

  • Powerful head

Two high-power RGB LEDs light up the head.

  • Semi-static rope

The rope with a PVC textile braid is semi-static; the poi behave like training and contact poi.

  • Button and app

Switch the poi on with the button. Control them with the button or in the app.

  • Custom modes

Edit modes in the app or create your own.

  • Props in sync

The poi sync with each other over a 2.4 GHz network and play together.

  • Phone, tablet, computer

Connect over Bluetooth to control them.

  • Repairable rope

A repair kit is available to fix the rope.

Technical specifications (dimensions, weights, runtime) are on the product page in the e-shop. This guide is about using the product.

Charging over USB-C

Plug the USB-C cable from the box into the charging port on the head and the other end into a USB charger.

  • On the charger the poi charges, stays switched on and can light up.
  • Charging takes about 2 hours with a 2 A charger and up to 4 hours with a weaker one.
  • After charging, put the USB cover back on the port.

The poi go dark when unplugged from the charger

Section titled “The poi go dark when unplugged from the charger”

That is expected. When you unplug the USB cable, the charging chip restarts and the circuit switches off. Switch the poi on with the button.

The poi do not light up even after pressing the button

Section titled “The poi do not light up even after pressing the button”

Connect them to the charger — on the charger they are switched on and can light up. Let them charge (about 2 hours with a 2 A charger), unplug them and switch them on with the button. If they still do not light up, email us with a short video: pressing the button on the charger and after unplugging.

The button is pushed in or does not respond

Section titled “The button is pushed in or does not respond”

Do not use force and do not take the poi apart. Send us a photo or a short video of the button and we will agree on the next steps.

Check that the poi are switched on (after unplugging, switch them on with the button), that Bluetooth is on and that you are close by. More tips in app troubleshooting.

You can repair the rope with the RoPE POI repair kit. Email us and we will advise you how to proceed.

Try a restart: connect the device to the charger, unplug the cable after a moment (the circuit switches off) and switch it on with the button. Details in Restart and reset.
