Charging over USB-C

Plug the USB-C cable from the box into the charging port on the battery box and the other end into a USB charger.

  • On the charger RoPE charges, stays switched on and can light up.
  • Charging takes about 2 hours with a 2 A charger and up to 4 hours with a weaker one.
  • After charging, put the USB cover back on the port.

RoPE goes dark when unplugged from the charger

Section titled “RoPE goes dark when unplugged from the charger”

That is expected. When you unplug the USB cable, the charging chip restarts and the circuit switches off. Switch RoPE on with the button.

RoPE does not light up even after pressing the button

Section titled “RoPE does not light up even after pressing the button”

Connect it to the charger — on the charger it is switched on and can light up. Let it charge (about 2 hours with a 2 A charger), unplug it and switch it on with the button. If it still does not light up, email us with a short video: pressing the button on the charger and after unplugging.

Check that RoPE is switched on (after unplugging, switch it on with the button), that Bluetooth is on and that you are close by. More tips in app troubleshooting.

Send us a short video or a photo of the part that stays dark and we will agree on the next steps.

Try a restart: connect the device to the charger, unplug the cable after a moment (the circuit switches off) and switch it on with the button. Details in Restart and reset.
